L.L. Bean are often credited with inventing the tote bag in Maine, 1944, when they produced a sturdy, water-resistant canvas bag for transporting ‘premium grade’ ice from your car to your ice chest. Because they didn’t have refrigerators in Maine in the 40s.
Now, we’re not saying you should carry ice around in your tote bag, but we’re not saying you can’t either. Ours are made of the highest quality canvas, can carry pretty much anything, and will keep your valuables dry while you’re on the move. Food, clothes, boots, shinpads, approximately fourteen tinnies, it can do it all.
